Full Time Student: 5 months per discipline (Brass, Woodwinds, or Strings). This option
gives you all the training you need for each group of instruments plus the additional
lab time over the weeks it takes to complete each discipline.
Power Course: an intensive 5 day course. You choose the instrument or instruments
you want to study! You can come for one or more courses!
We offer several courses in an online format. We are currently updating our system and
online classes will be available Summer 2023. You can choose from the Pro Level
with live coaching and direct contact with your Instructor, or the Self Enrichment course
that allows you to move through lessons at your own pace with no direct coaching. If
you are interested, ask to be added to our waitlist for first availability!
Tools Kits: on campus students use our tools and supplies during classes, and
tool kits are available for purchase if desired.
Online students must purchase a tool kit to have the necessary items for class as well
as acquire a project instrument to use.

This course covers the basics of brass repair, chemical cleaning, valve alignment, soft soldering, dent removal, correct fit and function of parts, nomenclature, spot lacquering and spot plating, rotor assembly and tying, and slide work overview
In this course you will learn techniques of flute disassembly, tenon fitting, head cork repair, key fitting, dent removal, padding, tone hole leveling, regulation corks, flute family nomenclature, care of metal finishes, straightening body, alignment, spring replacement, and play testing.
Plastic and Resin are taught. In this course you will learn proper clarinet disassembly techniques, corking of tenons, proper key fitting, padding, key corking, regulation/adjusting, and nomenclature. You will also learn various clarinet maintenance and repair skills, such as key straightening, and spring replacement.
This course will cover proper saxophone maintenance and disassembly techniques, corking of neck, proper key fitting, padding, key corking, regulation/adjusting, nomenclature, key straightening, spring replacement, and play testing.
In this course you will learn oboe maintenance skills, such as padding, corking, adjustments, key fitting, and more as it applies to oboes. This repair class will finish with the student completing an overhaul of an oboe.
This course covers more advanced clarinet repair and maintenance topics, such as tenon and socket repair, graphite banding, reviewing of pinning, undercutting tone holes, tone hole replacement, chimney replacement, and mouthpiece refacing
In this guitar maintenance course you will learn to diagnose, set up, and adjust acoustic guitars including truss rod adjustments, nut & saddle regulations, bridge adjustments for intonation, and replacements as well as entry level crack repair and finish touch up
In this course you will learn to diagnose, set up, and adjust electric and bass guitars: truss rod adjustments, nut & saddle regulations, bridge adjustments for intonation, and replacements as well as entry level guitar wiring.
This course covers re-fret jobs, fret leveling and dressing, fingerboard leveling, and radiusing.
In this course you will learn the fundamentals of string repair. This includes bridge cutting, and repair, crack repair, finish touch up, peg fitting, fingerboard repair and setting, neck setting, nut and button repair, and bow rehair.
For the director that needs to be a “MASH” unit for repairs in their school, this is your course. If on campus, You will spend three days on woodwinds–clarinet, flute, saxophone–and two days on brass fundamentals. If online, your lesson blocks will be divided accordingly.
On Campus Only. This is an advanced continuing education course customized for you. If you would like to learn advanced repairs on a specific instrument or learn instrument repair for something not listed in our other classes, this is the course for you. Details for this course will be designed by school agent, instructor, and student.
