Can I opt out of the maintenance protection plan?

No, we are sorry, but this is a very important option! Even in the best circumstances, accidents happen, and believe us when we say you don’t want to take the chance of needing to pay those expenses on your own! Remember that this plan also covers normal maintenance that instruments need to keep them in tip top playing condition. It is so important to keep an instrument 100% responsive and easy to play, especially for a beginning student!

What if my instrument needs maintenance?

Simply bring it into the shop! We will fix it, or swap it for another instrument if necessary so the student doesn’t loose practice time! We know that after the long band season many high school band instruments need maintenance, we are open Monday-Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm.

How do I keep my instrument in top working condition?

We recommend you use the musical instrument maintenance kit you purchased when you rented the instrument! It contains items to clean and help maintain your instrument after each practice. Then, once a year we recommend you drop the instrument off at the shop for deep cleaning, routine maintenance and adjustments.

Instrument Rental Events

We all know renting is a great option for students discovering their interest in an instrument!
For this reason, we have an amazing instrument rental program called Rent+ that offers ownership credit, maintenance, and more.

We hope to make it easy for students and parents (and directors) to get squared away on their instrument rentals by setting up on location rental nights! We offer several different set up models for these rental nights depending on what works best for your school.

You choose what works for your program!

Same Day Take Home

We will bring our rental fleet with us to your rental night! This way students can sign up to rent an instrument and leave that night with the instrument in hand. This requires a significant amount of space for our set up, but can be very beneficial in the right settings!

School Drop Off

Students attending the rental night will sign up for rentals with CIOMIT but will walk away hassle free. Our Education Reps. will then schedule a time to drop off all rentals for your students at the school.
