In this class the students will learn basic play condition repairs on brasswind instruments. Although many repairs on brass instruments require extensive tools and supplies, the basics of putting a trumpet into playable condition will be taught. Soldering, minor valve work, alignment of valves, replacement of felts, corks, and springs. Cleaning procedures care and storage, plus many other topics will be discussed. Many of the techniques taught on the trumpet can be applied to larger brass as well.
