This class covers topics such as tenon and socket repair, flush banding, graphite banding, reviewing of pinning, undercutting tone holes, tone hole replacement, chimney replacement and mouthpiece refacing. Students will need to have access to a lathe and some basic knowledge of lathe operations. Techniques learned in this class can be applied to the entire clarinet and double reed family of instruments. Tooling is included with tuition and is valued at over $1,000.00. This is for the serious repairman or career minded student.
