How CIOMIT online training works

Once you determine CIOMIT is right for you, register online on the registration page. Your registration, once accepted, will allow you to sign up and pay for classes on the CIOMIT web site.

Classes are held twice a week for two hours each class. Most classes are 16 hours of instruction. Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday nights for four weeks. Most classes are held from 5pm to 7pm MST; however consideration of time zones will be considered .

You will be sent study materials and tooling necessary for the classes that you have enrolled in. Please use the contact page to request more information on the classes and for advice on any courses you are uncertain of. It is our desire to help you succeed, so if you do not see the answers to your questions on the FAQ page, contact us!

Once you receive your materials and tooling, get ready for your scheduled classes. You will be contacted prior to the start of class to verify and resolve any compatibility issues with your computer system and ours. CIOMIT is using the finest state of the art web conferencing software to make your educational experience productive and trouble free.

At the time of class you will logon to our system and once roll is taken, we will be off and running. You will have a video feed of your instructor in full screen on your computer monitor. We suggest that you have your computer set up at or near your bench or area where you choose to repair so you can follow along on your instrument in a lab setting.

Instruction will involve both lecture and hands on education. As a requirement of the course, you will have a web cam so the instructor can review your work, or help you analyze any problems you encounter on your particular project instrument. Interaction between the instructor and all students will be both visual and auditory. If you have a question, you can raise your virtual hand and interact in real time with your instructor.

Upon completion of the course you will be required to send your project instrument via USPS, UPS, DHL, or FedEx to CIOMIT for review and grading. Your instructor will highlight any problem areas or certify the accepted completed project and return the instrument back to you.
